Welcome to
As part of our science study of God's heavens, fifth graders are being asked to get more familiar with the nighttime sky. Students should be working on some lunar observations. This web page has to do with some other nighttime observations. First on the agenda is the finding of the Big Dipper and North Star. Next, see if you can find Orion. He is not visible late in the evening, so try viewing before 9:00 p.m. The star finder that your child made can help in locating these items. Check out the "What's Up" link (in the column to the left) for help with locating Saturn and Venus. Please fill out the form below when you have identified these items in the night sky. Once you have checked off an item it does not need to be rechecked when you view a new object. Happy viewing!
